Building in intensity, and dropping out, become able suspense techniques throughout, as does contrasting the doom with light playful passages on strings, woodwinds or xylophone. Frantic, high energy pop rock suitable for video games. Very synthetic and digital in feel, it's perfect for racing and high intensity adventure games due to the driving beat and distorted rock guitar. Adding a bit of funk brass creates an energetic theme, fast moving sax and muted trumpet adds a hectic, jazzy vibe and the overall repetition of the sections, with slight variations in dynamics, helps link it together as a circuit. Fun and lively, with lots of impact.

Goofy orchestral soundtrack that will go down well with young kids (and childish adults). Always light and silly, it's the muted trumpet that gets the honour of playing the duck, built on by a gaggle of woodwinds, a herd of pizzicato strings and percussion, and soon joined by a flock of flutes. It's bouncy, animated and could almost be interpreted as a drunken stumble home if it wasn't so innocent.

Orchestral carnival theme with a sense of the macabre. Very animated, with all the instruments of the orchestra featured for a dynamic and at times, deliberately hectic and manic feel, it captures both the fun, comical side of the circus with the darker, more horror themed associations we've come to see on the big screen. Hauntingly enjoyable.

Very cinematic and stylised, it subtly uses deep percussive rhythms to build a pulsating expectation, adding themes on guitar and piano to introduce the main electric guitar motif - a bold and dramatic uplift made all the grander by strings and brass. Epic, without going over the top, and elegantly dynamic.

Cinematic dubstep with a promise to explode - but doesn't. A great tension builder with a foreboding intensity that grows through palm muted electric guitars, epic horns and synth textures. Mixing orchestral themes with aggressive rock and a slamming beat generates the powerful anticipation. After that, it's up to you where you position it, but it can hit hard.

A slamming beat, keyboard stabs and synth sub bass lay the foundations for the epicness to grow - more animated leads, more strings and a huge sonic wave of big brass to really cement its place as a hard hitting, cinematic track full of action, tension and cutting drama.

Orchestral fantasy track. Opening with a dramatic sequence of string ostinato and female vocal aahs, and building in intenstity through legato strings, rhythmic percussion and stabbing brass, the mood changes to a softer, magical mid-section of vocals and sweeping strings, sprinkled with harp runs and chimes. The action soon returns with more beating taiko rhythm and full orchestra to the climax of a piece that suggests epic drama, action, mystery and heroism.  

Frantic, nervy, edgy - this is a real orchestral epic full of tension and 20th Century classical leanings. Making full use of textural string swarms, brass stabs and an underlying percussive accent, it manages to build to an action blockbuster feel, with dramatic mania from woodwind flurries and an overall dynamism that never settles. Very engaging and wonderfully executed.
