This is a meditation soundscape designed to go much deeper, whistling straight into your inner core with haunting tones and evolving sound design. As useful for cinematic ambience as it is for spiritual energising, it's said to help you build harmonious relationships with others. Might work better than a mix tape of 80's love ballads.

An underlying percussive rhythm section attempts to ground the piece in a lounge jazz style, but is never allowed to dominate due to the interjecting effects - some natural, some synthesized. It all depends on how you're feeling. On the one hand, this is a deep, soul searching soundscape of profound, inner vibrations - an electronic soup of slowly evolving tones, drones and unresolved mutations that leads you to mysterious places and intriguing discovery, safe in the knowledge that at this pace, you'll have the time to fall into it's myriad hypnotic states. On the other hand, it's the soundtrack to your worst, most isolated horror nightmares and the darkest, creepiest underworld you never want to visit. The choice is yours - it's just a question of context.

Building in intensity, and dropping out, become able suspense techniques throughout, as does contrasting the doom with light playful passages on strings, woodwinds or xylophone. Slurred legato violins apply textured expression and rich brass adds an aggressive feel to create a dramatic, mysterious and epic composition.

Inventive and raw ambient track. With a metronomical rhythm created from organic and percussive tones enhanced by mechanical sounds, a sense of tonality comes from the minimalist piano adding the slightest of bass feels and harmony. Somber and pensive in atmosphere, with a lulling calmness in amongst the tension, as the title suggests, time ticks on, and the piece reflects a hypnotic and hollow sounding illusion of an ever present constant. Intriguingly captivating for what is essentially a soundscape.
