If I say 'pirates' and you think 'Caribbean', then we both know where this is heading. With more than a passing reference to a certain well-known theme, it's every bit as swashbuckling, unleashing the full power of a cinematic orchestra and its percussive ensemble. Having said that, it does have slightly less seafaring tendencies and could easily lend itself to many other action settings from thrillers to adventure scenes, given its generally sterner feel. Epic stuff.

Dark, enchanted orchestral theme. Slightly exotic melodies and off beat rhythms create unease and a sense of the bizarre, all to a backdrop of tribal percussion. Choral wails and brass stabs interrupt the flow to further unsettle things and fast string themes impose the aggression in this mid tempo piece of symphonic tension. Dynamic in rhythm, instrumentation and mood, with a sinister overall edge.

Horror soundscape theme. What starts as an atmospheric horror build up of risers, metal hits, orchestral swarms and harmonics, harp glissandi and random percussive elements finally breaks into a short, off-beat orchestral string theme. Diabolically dramatic with no sense of tempo but a strong sense of tension, it's a track to catch you off guard and keep you guessing.

Hauntingly epic violin track - but so much more. Starting off in an ambient, lonely mood, with echoing harmonics and tremolos, it builds through a modern, contemporary drama style of arpeggiated progressions to an all out cinematic attack of grandiose strings and brass to hit those epic heights. Only boosted further with percussion, it never leaves behind its underlying solitary violin voice which relentlessly charges on in the background despite the rising orchestra. Emotive and evocative, it paints a dynamically lush and dramatic landscape.

Hyped up synth pop rock. Aggressively styled with high impact drums and synth textures, it has a real video game feel to it. Based around a single continuous motif, it maintains enough diversity by changing the instrumentation: different synth lead sounds, to changing the rhythmic emphasis: glitch effects and beat variations. Very punchy and animated.

A delicate midsection of keyboard, strings and textures provides a serene contrast and a vehicle to build the music to its intense climax of percussive hits, string runs and fast brass passages. Subtly finished with a light arpeggiated piano theme, it's a dynamically diverse piece covering many moods, but always within the realm of intense cinematic action.

Industrial background track. Heavily synth based with a hard driving beat, it also has a digital, tech feel as well as the overall urban soundscape it creates. With no lead line to rely on, the main atmosphere comes from a deep, rolling bass powered by the pounding drums and enhanced by varied synth textures, from fast arpeggios to warped single note lines to thick organ chords. Slightly dark and gritty, with a relentless feel of industrial progress.
