Dark and atmospheric from the start, using a simple repeated piano theme, and enhanced by subtle, dissonant strings and choir to create suspense, the piece remains stable but varied throughout - synth pulses and percussion add movement, cello adds melancholy, glockenspiel adds lightness. The slow pace adds to the dramatic tension so you're left in no doubt that something must be lurking nearby.

Equally dramatic and energetic as tense and mysterious, it makes great use of the percussive snare to destabilise and create uncertainty, overall never seemingly committing to a solid 4/4 beat. Expect lots of off beat accents, brass stabs, woodwind trills and string runs to build a dynamic and thrilling theme.

Epic fantasy orchestral track. Brass fanfares, repeated by the strings and enhanced by the choir and percussion, form the main theme of this dramatic action piece. Respite comes in the middle section with a calm, simple piano sequence backed by soft string chords that soon builds to the original fanfare and return of the familiar intensity of the first half. Tension, danger and doom aplenty in a confrontational and menacing work.

Mysterious and tense hybrid track. With fantasy elements and gothic overtones from the use of sparkling glockenspiel and operatic vocals, the piece marries various moods whilst always suggesting an impending danger and wonder. Running synth phrases, electric guitar stabs and shrill legato strings complement the rich and diverse landscape, backed by a strong and steady drum beat. A supernatural and mystical revelation.

Symphonic rock track with a hyped up feel. Very energetic and nervous in feel, you can sense the tension created by dark chord sequences through electric power chords and gripping string marcato. Brooding legato string passages juxtapose the neverending pound of the drums while electric guitars harmonise like a symphony orchestra for a dynamic action piece that starts intense, and just gets stronger. Mysterious and unrelenting.

Somber and dramatic background music with added ambience, using soft arpeggiated piano and electronic sound design elements. The constant, steady movement helps the piece flow forward, but it('s not until the final section that all the elements combine for the full effect of rich, mysterious and brooding tension. A slow burner, created purely for mood.

An underlying percussive rhythm section attempts to ground the piece in a lounge jazz style, but is never allowed to dominate due to the interjecting effects - some natural, some synthesized. Gritty and nervous for the majority, with a calming middle section that rebuilds to the original skittish theme, the use of dissonance, changing tempo and off-beat accents highlights the intended drama and suspense, making this perfect for thriller, noir and horror genres.

Gentle and lilting only for the start and short ending, the more prominent mood is tension and ever increasing intensity.

Not even a tribute to a familiar 007 theme, this holds its own as a gritty, passionate piece featuring well crafted popular elements of cinematic music: string ostinato, deep brass and pumping rhythms. Brooding, rich and dramatic, if crime was a turbulent love story, this would be its theme.

Epic symphonic track. Packed with action, intensity and a strong battle feel, it uses string ostinato and lots of snare percussion to generate a dramatic and, at times, chaotic ambience. Split into 2 halves to allow for a dynamic change and subsequent build up, the heroic brass adds tension thoughout under the screaming violins and relentless basses. Tense, bold and soaked in impending doom.

Imperial sounding orchestral epic. Fanfare brass, snare drum and crashing gongs give a military feel, the strings adding a further cinematic depth to the piece with fast runs and ostinato passages. A touch of fantasy is brought in by the harp in an otherwise scene-setting track of determined grandeur and combative qualities, mixing calmer reflection with aggression.

Orchestral hybrid track with a strong aggressive streak. Starting with soft strings and underlying textures, the mood turns harder as industrial percussion kicks in, creating a chaotic fusion between jagged strings and harsh brass runs. Ominous, highly charged and tense.
