Magical and mysterious in its gently flowing piano lines and shimmering high strings, it builds on the theme with faster string ostinato and legato melodies, gradually turning into a deeper, more epic interpretation with added brass, woodwind and percussion. Without limiting yourself to the fantasy genre as it works for many other situations, think more 'fairies and elves showing their powers' than 'horsemen of the apocalypse'.

Acoustic medieval inspired track generating a fantasy vibe. It has a gentle 6/8 flow to give it a sense of dance and movement, and tries to keep its authenticity through the instrumentation; led by a (just about medieval) harpsichord, it's accompanied by simple beating percussion, harp, flute and maybe even a hint of hurdy-gurdy. With deep synth pulses, stutters and plenty of grit, it's full of dynamism and confidence that creates an inspirational and overwhelmingly dramatic feel of glory combined with tension.

Like the sun bursting through at the break of dawn, or the day turning into night at dusk, it's an epic, cinematic track of transformation that evolves in power and dynamics. Building from gentle, tension filled string ostinato and simple brass themes to an ever increasing wall of sound through sweeping legatos, angelic choirs and heroic horns, it never loses its sense of majestic fantasy and glorious strength. Epic fantasy orchestral track. Brass fanfares, repeated by the strings and enhanced by the choir and percussion, form the main theme of this dramatic action piece. Respite comes in the middle section with a calm, simple piano sequence backed by soft string chords that soon builds to the original fanfare and return of the familiar intensity of the first half. Tension, danger and doom aplenty in a confrontational and menacing work.

Orchestral fantasy track. Opening with a dramatic sequence of string ostinato and female vocal aahs, and building in intenstity through legato strings, rhythmic percussion and stabbing brass, the mood changes to a softer, magical mid-section of vocals and sweeping strings, sprinkled with harp runs and chimes. The action soon returns with more beating taiko rhythm and full orchestra to the climax of a piece that suggests epic drama, action, mystery and heroism.  

Action/fantasy hybrid orchestral track. Fast, skittish passages contrast with sweeping legato for a dynamic and fast moving feel, further helped by a dramatic percussive beat. Highly charged and tense throughout, only pausing for breath at the midpoint and the outro, it sets a mysterious, nervous mood full of cinematic suspense.

Imperial sounding orchestral epic. Fanfare brass, snare drum and crashing gongs give a military feel, the strings adding a further cinematic depth to the piece with fast runs and ostinato passages. A touch of fantasy is brought in by the harp in an otherwise scene-setting track of determined grandeur and combative qualities, mixing calmer reflection with aggression.

With gothic overtones thanks to the choral themes and cinematic fantasy thanks to the repeated glockenspiel and piano motifs, the horror seeds are planted early on to generate the brooding atmosphere. With a deep, rolling bass line and booming percussion enhanced by synth drops, brass rasps and jagged strings, it soon becomes a nightmarish mix of ominous energy and overwhelming helplessness.

Adrenalin fuelled cinematic track. A rhythmically charged intro of unison piano and string shorts flourishes into a gothic fantasy dance with subtly macabre overtones, featuring choral melodies and later, epic brass. Impacts and percussion drive the piece forward in a swirl of dramatic emotion, rising again through a key change to its conclusion. Darkly romantic with a playful vibe, it is an energetic, all action piece with a grandiose flair.

Calm background track to accompany all sorts of folky, farmy things. Agriculturally simple, yet effective at creating an ambience of life's gentle meanderings, it pushes forward through a lilting tempo and bouncy folk guitar, accentuated by various organic instruments for an earthy and at times, fantasy feel. Honest and quietly optimistic.

Don't expect cute elves and elegant fairies in this ethereal forest - this is the darker side of fantasy. Strings and synths come together to create a slightly disturbing ambient soundscape that tries to fool you into thinking everything is sweet, but never lets go of the sinister background gargle penetrating the mist. Floaty, progressive, but mystically unsettling.

Short but dramatic blockbuster theme with a heroic spirit. Using the full orchestra and piano, it's a steady and bold theme full of grandeur with epic brass and lush strings, given a slight fantasy feel due to the overlaid glockenspiel motif. Mid paced to give time to build and swell, as well as generate the sense of majesty, it's less traditional than at first expected with offbeat accents and subtly unexpected changes. Emotive but well controlled.
