Epic fantasy orchestral track. Brass fanfares, repeated by the strings and enhanced by the choir and percussion, form the main theme of this dramatic action piece. Respite comes in the middle section with a calm, simple piano sequence backed by soft string chords that soon builds to the original fanfare and return of the familiar intensity of the first half. Tension, danger and doom aplenty in a confrontational and menacing work.

Epic symphonic track. Packed with action, intensity and a strong battle feel, it uses string ostinato and lots of snare percussion to generate a dramatic and, at times, chaotic ambience. Split into 2 halves to allow for a dynamic change and subsequent build up, the heroic brass adds tension thoughout under the screaming violins and relentless basses. Tense, bold and soaked in impending doom.

Symphonic fantasy epic. Enchanting and ominous in equal measure, it's a piece full of grandeur with choral melodies accompanied by ever progressing string and brass themes to build to a fulfilling climax. Gentle and lilting only for the start and short ending, the more prominent mood is tension and ever increasing intensity.

Dark, enchanted orchestral theme. Slightly exotic melodies and off beat rhythms create unease and a sense of the bizarre, all to a backdrop of tribal percussion. Choral wails and brass stabs interrupt the flow to further unsettle things and fast string themes impose the aggression in this mid tempo piece of symphonic tension. Dynamic in rhythm, instrumentation and mood, with a sinister overall edge.

Symphonic rock track with a hyped up feel. Very energetic and nervous in feel, you can sense the tension created by dark chord sequences through electric power chords and gripping string marcato. Brooding legato string passages juxtapose the neverending pound of the drums while electric guitars harmonise like a symphony orchestra for a dynamic action piece that starts intense, and just gets stronger. Mysterious and unrelenting.

Making good use of cutting synth and string themes for suspense, and a deep, pulsing beat for tension and movement, there remains space for a piano melody to add progressive interest with a deliberately vague and ambiguous feel. An overall steady and tense piece that creates a mysterious, thrilling landscape.

What starts as an atmospheric horror build up of risers, metal hits, orchestral swarms and harmonics, harp glissandi and random percussive elements finally breaks into a short, off-beat orchestral string theme. Diabolically dramatic with no sense of tempo but a strong sense of tension, it's a track to catch you off guard and keep you guessing.

Hectic and chaotic cinematic orchestral track. Hitting the listener with diverse rhythms and playing styles from all angles, from off-beat choral chants to random instruments stabs and percussive hits, it creates an unsettling and jarring effect throughout. An underlying double bass line unerringly marches on to give a stable bed to the devilishly playful madness going on above, creating an uneasy and threatening hostility that never relents. High energy tension for the slightly deranged.

Soothingly haunted piano instrumental, backed by strings and harp. Slow and intense, with piano parts ranging from simple arpeggios to virtuosic runs, it's beautifully crafted to give the impression of elegance and subtlety with a darker, unseen edge lurking nearby. Drama, suspense, reflection and tension are the key ingredients to this minimalist track.

Hauntingly tense piano based track. Dark and atmospheric from the start, using a simple repeated piano theme, and enhanced by subtle, dissonant strings and choir to create suspense, the piece remains stable but varied throughout - synth pulses and percussion add movement, cello adds melancholy, glockenspiel adds lightness. The slow pace adds to the dramatic tension so you're left in no doubt that something must be lurking nearby.

Downtempo post-rock track with a cinematic/TV feel. Gently building tension through layering themes, starting with simple piano and adding textures, bass, drums and electric guitar, it never gets overly dramatic, instead choosing a subtler psychological intensity to evoke its message of cool, calculated and deliberate determination.

A tense action epic. The title may be a bit misleading if you're expecting the classic John Williams score, but there's certainly dramatic tension and plenty of big screen atmosphere. Accentuated off-beat rhythms using percussion and strings, raspy brass swells and enhancing woodwinds all contribute to an edgy, pointed piece with a dark and sinister side.

Just drums. Jazz drums. With brushes. Not a drum solo, but a steady, grooving jazz beat that shows off the subtleties like ghost notes and accentuations whilst maintaining a fast paced, metronomic precision. Slight build ups and drop outs create tension and suspense making this useful for generating certain ambiences.

Gloriously dramatic orchestral theme. Based around a dark string ostinato theme, and incorporating deep brass and cinematic percussion to beef it up, it captures a mood of tension and slowly building intensity, augmented by a final key change as the climax draws near. Rhythmically steady yet repetitively fast paced, it captures an energy and vibe that can be applied to numerous projects requiring a sense of urgency and action.
