Respite comes in the middle section with a calm, simple piano sequence backed by soft string chords that soon builds to the original fanfare and return of the familiar intensity of the first half. Edgy orchestral track. Starting with a fast moving string theme and percussion, deep chimes ring in the ominous dread approaching. Building in intensity, and dropping out, become able suspense techniques throughout, as does contrasting the doom with light playful passages on strings, woodwinds or xylophone. Slurred legato violins apply textured expression and rich brass adds an aggressive feel to create a dramatic, mysterious and epic composition.

Epic symphonic track. Packed with action, intensity and a strong battle feel, it uses string ostinato and lots of snare percussion to generate a dramatic and, at times, chaotic ambience. Split into 2 halves to allow for a dynamic change and subsequent build up, the heroic brass adds tension thoughout under the screaming violins and relentless basses. Tense, bold and soaked in impending doom.

Tense and edgy cinematic track with a battle-ready feeling. A marching, percussive crescendo with short string stabs leads us into the full theme - string ostinato, shorts and a macabre sense of doom from the gothic choral chanting. Add in a few risers, sound design effects and tribal drums and the effect is complete: high intensity action with a sinister edge.

Throwing the full power of the orchestra over a backdrop of synth pulses, it builds steadily and solidly into a rich soundscape of percussive hits, string ostinato and legato brass evoking a foreboding power, with an uncertain sinister edge that can also be interpreted as a fierce determination.

Futuristic and apocalyptic track. After starting with a pulsing, time-ticking build up to generate tension and a suffocating intensity, the pounding industrial percussion, screaming synth leads and grinding sub bass are let loose to fry your brain. Staggered and disruptive throughout but somehow generating an underlying rhythmic stability, it's certainly an effect rather than a melody.

Relentlessly marching forward like a futuristic army of committed androids, this hybrid track creates that militant backdrop of sinister suspense, juxtaposed with a subtle angelic command hovering above. More of an imposing action vibe than a melodic theme, it has a confrontational and impending feel about it in a traditionally cinematic style, adding synth elements to blend with an industrial, technological future.

Dark, ominous, electronic theme, with an industrial vibe and a foreboding atmosphere. Starting steadily with a simple rock beat as its grounding, overlaid synth pads and textures start to weave dynamic layers of gritty ambience, from crunchy leads to arpeggiated flutters, as the intensity builds. Mysterious and futuristic, but retaining a classic synth wave feel.

Creepy melodies, weird sounds and disturbing noises designed to create a send of dread. Featuring scary strings, music box and rhythmic synths to drive it on, it lies somewhere between a deranged ethnic ensemble and a contemporary, cinematic action tension builder. A little bit different, and all the better for it, whilst maintaining its roots in the cinematic horror camp.

A hard hitting, cinematic powerhouse of a track - epic in nature but with an added dissonance to turn the feeling away from the usual majesty and heroism and towards the unnerving, foreboding and impending aggression. Massive drum hits, solid brass punches and a relentless synth bass pulse converge with ever growing marcato strings to develop into a solid paced expression of force.
