A tense action epic. The title may be a bit misleading if you're expecting the classic John Williams score, but there's certainly dramatic tension and plenty of big screen atmosphere. Accentuated off-beat rhythms using percussion and strings, raspy brass swells and enhancing woodwinds all contribute to an edgy, pointed piece with a dark and sinister side.

Great variety and build up thanks to the dynamic instrumentation and rhythms, from deep string shorts to trombone slides, violin marcato passages to industrial percussive impacts and choral backing to piano hits, it's all there. Slightly dark with an aggressive sense of action and suspense, it's hybrid cinematic music doing its atmospheric best.

Soothingly haunted piano instrumental, backed by strings and harp. Slow and intense, with piano parts ranging from simple arpeggios to virtuosic runs, it's beautifully crafted to give the impression of elegance and subtlety with a darker, unseen edge lurking nearby. Drama, suspense, reflection and tension are the key ingredients to this minimalist track.

An absolute curiosity of a track. The minimalist beat is cool, diverse and easily relatable. And then there's the rest. Super chilled upright double bass plucks out the laziest of melodies, soon joined by a simple, melancholic acoustic guitar line and the vocal warblings of the world's only Arabic gospel singer. Very relaxed, totally innovative and definitely standout, I can't help but get Mexican funeral vibes with a neo jazz twist. But that's doesn't tell even half the story ....

Melancholy strings with an underlying glimmer of hope - just enough to give us a welcome dose of optimism even if the times are dark. Atmospheric and cinematic in style, it's a gentle and pensive track with accenting piano and angelic airs to help breathe life into the soul-searching somberness, with lilting cello and violin taking the lead. Effective, moving and honest - so have the tissues ready.

Slightly dark and sombre but with enough positivity to generate optimism, and enough animation to generate interest.

No real rhythmic feel, just a dark and mysterious vibe with a hint of suspense.

Cinematic piano, drones and pulses lay a deeply atmospheric foundation for the string ostinato, big brass and electric guitar to swarm all over, steadily building in a wave of suspense and intrigue to a thrilling and energetic, all out action theme.

Unsettling offbeats and ominous descending themes, mixed with fast, jagged strings, create a world of swirling intensity that cycles round, only momentarily pausing at times to rebuild again. Supported by a backbeat of percussive hits and interjecting brass stabs, it has high energy and movement with a strong gothic, epic feel.

Not a lot of notes, but a lot of rich ambience, diverse emotions and mood from shimmering overtones and swathes of reverb - simplicity and soul-searching would be the only key words for this one. And maybe remorse. And a little hope. And solitude. And peaceful mystery. And I should stop now.

Not a piece that's going to brighten your day, unless you've been searching for the perfect accompaniment to your solitude and loss of hope.
