A gentle, pulsating string and harp intro featuring solo viola, cello and oboe flourishes into life with string shorts, harp glissandi and orchestral runs before dying down again for the ending. Good use of the vibraphone creates a dreamlike quality to help set an intense, melancholic and nostalgic mood, tinged with a sense of reflection and regret.

Opening with arpeggiated guitar accompanying a simple, yearning melody, the piece plays on the theme as it builds with piano and eventually the legato strings to solidify the overall ambience of regret. Bittersweet in its mood, with lots of question/answer phrasing, the piece is a thoughtful study of a traumatised mind.

Deep, rich tones from the legato strings, playful glockenspiel motifs and elegant, metronomic piano themes melt together in a swirling pot of mystery and suspense. Timpani hits and string shorts add drama, harp glissandi adds sparkle, chordal modulations add intrigue - and a final solo violin and piano section adds a touch of tragedy to complete the story. Deeply passionate and compelling.

Minimalist neo classical track, featuring piano and violin. A soft arpeggiated piano intro lays the bed for a whistful solo violin entry, full of yearning and reflection. Interpersed with pizzicato, it's the violin that sings the song over the ever constant piano accompaniment, creating a feeling of suspense, wonder and fragility. A dark piece full of intrigue.

Cinematic piece, featuring piano and orchestra. A simple and traditional melancholic piano theme opens, juxtaposed by modern shrill electronic pulses to immediately give a sense of the unusual. It breaks into a lush orchestral theme with legato strings, rich brass and fast moving marimba, building in intensity to a majestic climax with fanfare brass and timpani hits. Not to last, it drops back to the orignial theme and calmer style to finish a piece that has a diverse landscape of emotions, evoking sadness, reflection, wonder and longing.
