If a robot could dream, and you could represent that dream in music, is this what it would sound like? Hypnotic, digital, slightly randomised and somewhat comforting - it's pure electronica featuring huge bass warps and filtered leads over a dubstep beat to evoke trance elements and an uncertain, almost neutral mood. Is it uplifting, happy, emotional or nostalgic? I'm not sure, but perhaps that's because I'm made of metal.
Dirty dubstep, smashed up with industrial percussion, robotic vocals and punching basslines. Kind of sleazy in a heavy electronic way, but not without a certain playfulness in the warped vocals, and verging on experimental with its chopped, dropped in, dropped out mannerisms. A real hyped up future beat.
Upbeat, energetic and, at times, hectic track of various styles. Essentially a drum n bass sandwich, it has a filling of high energy piano and synth-led chords and leads over a manic beat, garnished with effects, filters and envelopes. The bread in this case is an altogether smoother, Latin jazz based groove with a retro feel and warm vintage keyboard tones. Slightly eclectic, but positive and hard hitting. Buen provecho!
Anarchic, industrial dubstep, crazily hyped up so that you'll never sleep again. With its constant electro tones slamming off the walls in every direction, aggressive synth leads firing into your chest and flickering on/off beats pumping the blood, it's like being dropped straight into the middle of a techno club night while being high on gamers' adrenaline.
Emotional mid tempo dubstep/chillstep track, featuring cello, piano, and vocal samples. Starting with a gentle melodic piano and cello theme, the beat kicks in to create a more aggresssive mood, enhanced by synth hits. Playing between the two moods generates an interesting contrast whilst maintaing the same themes for consistency, and keeping the overall modern feel with the beat.
